Keepper, Nations, and Kelley Grab Feature Wins Fennewald and
Wilson Top Make-Up Features

WHEATLAND, MO (July 31, 2010) - A huge crowd turned out this past Saturday
on a seasonably warm July evening for "KTTS Night at the Races" at Lucas Oil
Speedway as over 7,000 pounds of food was harvested for the Ozarks Food
Harvest Food Drive in a joint effort between Lucas Oil Speedway, KTTS, and
the Ozarks Food Harvest. Johnny Fennewald and Vance Wilson captured feature
wins to start off the night as the first two events to hit the racetrack
were make up features from July 24th after rain postponed the racing action
for one week. Sundance Keepper, Shawn Nations, and Jeremy Kelley captured
the normally scheduled feature wins in the Carson's Corner Napa Factory
Stocks, Pitt's Homes A-Modifieds, and TNT Quick Shop Late Models
respectively.
A jubilant Johnny Fennewald from Appleton City, Missouri started on the
front row and powered his way to the win in the Pitt's Homes A-Modified
feature postponed from July 24th. The Black 00 was second as Chance Bishop
charged to the second place finish with Lebanon, Missouri's Jamie Ragland
finishing in third after starting on the pole. Sedalia, Missouri's Justin
Moon was fourth while Cross Timbers, Missouri's Jeff Cutshaw brought home a
Top-5 finish driving the 27T. Point leader and 9-time feature winner Jesse
Stovall suffered mechanical trouble resulting in a 14th place finish and
putting his regular 00 on the trailer for the evening as there was still a
full night of racing action ahead.
Frankford, Missouri's Vance Wilson made it four straight in the TNT Quick
Shop Late Models as he rolled to the win in the TNT Quick Shop Late Model
make-up feature from July 24th from his outside front row starting position.
Point Leader Tommy Cordray put up a valiant effort but came up short by a
nose as the pair crossed the AAA Start/Finish Line side by side with Wilson,
following a spirited battle for the lead as the pair traded sheet metal for
the win. Marionville, Missouri's Phil Edmundson had a solid run as he
started third and finished third with Springfield, Missouri's Chris Morelock
powering his Show-Me/IMCA Spec engined machine to a fourth place finish
after starting in the sixth spot. Veteran Eldorado Springs, Missouri Driver
Larry Jones, also driving a Show-Me/IMCA spec engined machine rounded out
the top-5 in the black #99.
Everton, Missouri's Sundance Keepper continued his recent hot streak in the
Carson's Corner Napa Factory Stocks to take the win over Neosho's Chris
Hawkins. Wheatland's Randy Gilmore rallied to take the third spot with
Wheatland's Chip Shaddox and Clever, Missouri's Steve Morton in fourth and
fifth respectively at the finish.
The Pitt's Homes A-Modifieds put on one of the best races of the season as
Shawn Nations battled Jesse Stovall and Jamie Ragland in a spirited 3-way
battle for the lead. Stovall campaigned the black 00 driven to a second
place finish earlier in the night by teammate Chance Bishop. Nations went on
to take his second win of 2010 as a dejected Stovall lost electrical power
coming out of turn 4 on the last lap as the entire field passed by as he sat
helplessly in the top of Turn 4. Stovall would end up 19th in the final
rundown as he sat just 100 feet from the finish line. Jamie Ragland held on
to second place at the finish as Fair Grove's Mickey Burrell motored to a
third place finish. Terry Kirk and Robbie Test finished fourth and fifth
respectively.
As good as the battle was in the Pitt's Homes A-Modifieds, the race for the
win in the TNT Quick Shop Late Models was the race of the night as Walnut
Grove, Missouri's Jeremy Kelley and El Dorado Springs, Missouri's Larry
Jones put on a driving clinic with with Kelley on the cushion and Jones on
the bottom of the race track. The pair traded the lead and slide jobs
multiple times but it was Kelley scoring the feature win with Jones holding
on to the second spot. An early spin by Phil Edmundson stacked up the field
on lap #1 shaking up the lineup and putting a couple of favorites in Vance
Wilson and Tommy Cordray deep in the pack for the restart. Wilson rebounded
to finish third with Wheatland's Andy Kennedy scoring another Top-5 finish
in fourth. Chris Morelock also scored his second Top-5 finish of the night
as he crossed the finish line in fifth. Points leader Cordray was able to
work his way back to sixth at the finish
