Championship Chase Gets Even Closer At Lebanon Midway

LEBANON, MO (August 9) - The Chase for the 2010 season in the Central Bank Racing Series action at the Lebanon Midway Speedway has gotten even closer after last Friday nights action.

 Central Bank FactoryStock point leader Tyson Troutman of Houston has seen his lead shrink down to a 8 point margin over springfield's Ben Solberg while the battle for third is just as tight as Tim Jones of Marshfield has moved into 3rd place after his victory last Friday night.Donnie Miller of Houston is only 6 points behind jones while Grovesprings Mark Davis trails Miller by only 11 points.

 The Biggest change has been in the Energy Company Modifieds as a wild turn of events has placed Phillipsburg's Micheal Stake into a championship contention as the Lebanon High School Graduate has vaulted into second place only 13 points Behind Springfield's Wayne Graybeal.Stoutland's Tyler Brown dropped to third place after the events last Friday Night.Brown trails Stake by only 15 points and is only 28 out of the top spot.Republic's Shawn Strong and Halfway's Ted Ballinger complete a very tight top 5.

 Lebanon's Kory Barker has a large lead over Lebanon's Adam Lowrance with Robert McGinnis,Mansfield's Joey Long and defending champion Les Hayes of Camdenton completing the top 5.

 The Coldwell Banker StreetStocks has Lebanon's Joe Francis leading a dream season as he looks to be going back to back titles.Lynchburg's Brandon Waters holds a narrow second place spot over Ava's Jack Hamer by 18 points.Squires Rodney Yost and Lynchburg's Billy Waters are tied for 4th place as Lebanon's Monk Barker has vaulted into a possible Top 5 position only 10 points out of 4th place.

 Defending Sportsman Champion Ben Newell of Stoutland finds his father JC Newell glued to his back bumper only 29 markers out of the lead.Fair Grove's Tim Ballinger has a solid 3rd place spot while Stoutland's Clinton Betts and Lebanon's Micheal Jones complete the top 5.

 14 year old JC Newell of Stoutland continues to head-up the MidWest Modz while Joplin's Bobby Gough and Sparta's Earl Muilenburg are in a battle for second place.Springfield's Terry Williams and Nixa's Jeremy Manes round out the top 5.

 Action starts with Hotlaps at 7:10 while the racing action starts at 8PM Sharp.

 Grandstands open at 5PM.Adult admission is only $10 for adults while kids 11-15 are $5 and 10 and under Free.

 The following 3 weeks at the Midway will be very busy as Friday Aug.20th will feature an on track autograph session along with the regular racing program.

 Friday Aug 27th-B-Mods will be competing for a $500 to win overall event.Time Trials along with double Modified features and PureStocks will be competing for track points and a TBA event.

 Friday Sept 3rd-LateModels come to the midway as the Show-Me Racin Series LateModels make their only apperance of the season along with points races in classes TBA.
