Kids(6-12) will be admitted for only $2 and there will be pack-backs given out along with some extra gifts.One lucky child will find themselves a winner as a remaining season pass for both an adult and kids pass will be given to both 1 boy and girl. A special treat at intermission will find an on track autograph session in which the drivers will bring their cars to the frontstretch and the fans will get a chance to go down and meet and greet the drivers that compete on the Quick-Quarter. Point battles are really heating up as Webb City's Mitch Keeter holds a narrow 10 point margin over 4 time track champion Jackie Dalton of Carthage in the A-Mods.Dalton will start back in the 11th position Sat night in the feature and that should provide lots of excitement.Springfield's Erik Maggard is also still in the champonship chase only 22 points behind Dalton with 4 point races left to go.Jody Tillman and Brian Green complete the top 5. Willard's Sean Williams has seen his lead shrink to only 3 points over Springfield Veteran Wayne Graybeal in the SportMod division.This class has provided some of the best racing anywhere arund week-in and week out.Springfield's JC Morton,Reeds Billy Dalton and Lampe's Eric Tinderholt complete the top 5 as many spots can still change. The StreetStock class finds Ava's Jack Hamer on top of the standings by 56 points over defending champion Robert High of Springfield.Randy High has vaulted to 3rd place while Marshfield's Matt Keeth and Springfield Veteran Bob Maggard Sr round out the top 5.Hamer is looking for his first ever title in Southwest Missouri Racing. The Legends division week after week provide lots of action along with 3 wide racing.Joplin's Justin Comer has saw his lead shrink to only 7 points over last Sat nights winner Park Jones of Joplin.Billing's Rob Watson sets in 3rd place only 9 markers out of the lead while Webb City's David Bauer and Dave Comer of Joplin complete a very tough top 5. The MidWest Modz Class has come to life at Springfield with the car count getting stronger each week as Webb City Young Gun Kaleb Copher holds the lead over 14 year old JC Newell of Stoutland by 40 points.Copher a former legends driver has showed alot of promise and has been on a hot streak lately.Newell in his first season of full bodied-type racing has a couple of wins also.Joplin's Bobby Gough,Webb City driver Trevor Drake and veteran Earl Muilenburg complete the top 5. Gates open at 5PM with Hotlaps at 6:15 and Racing at 7:15.The autograph session will be held at intermission so make sure you have something for the drivers to sign. Adult Admission is only $10 while this Sat night kids prices are only $2 along with the Back-to School special gifts.Pitpasses are $25. The next Special event at SpringfieldRaceway will be on Sat Aug.21st as the popular Show-Me Racin Series LateModels make their only apperance of the season at the Quick-Quarter.
