On Any Weekend – Filming of Pilot Episode GRAIN VALLEY, MO (September 3) - Next week, filming of the pilot episode for the motor sports TV program, On Any Weekend will get under way in Kansas City. Last year, 30 episodes of the program aired on Kansas City TV earning an impressive 6% market share. Now the program is set to go nationwide in 2011. On Any Weekend features a variety of motor sports events. According to program creator Dennis Shrout, “The secret to the audience success with the episodes is the program’s strategy of weaving in the personal, real life stories of the participants and some history about each sport.” In 2011, the series will feature an intense competition between 10 lovely Speedway Chicks that will be competing for the title of “Valley Speedway Queen” and a Mercedes convertible. Each program will feature one motor sport competition with 10 competitors. The Speedway Chicks will interview contestants, selecting just one to represent her in that week’s race. The pre-race interviews will allow viewers to become familiar with the personal side of each competitor and many of the factors important in the design of championship vehicles. Of course, each Speedway Chick will add her own magic potions and good luck charms to ensure victory. A completely different motor sport will be featured each week with entries and contestants from around the country, including exotics like lawnmower racing and others. The Speedway Chick with the greatest number of wins at the end of the season takes the prize. The pilot episode will feature a special version of Demolition Derby that will be a no-holds-barred, fight to the finish. The last car moving will emerge as the winner. The Speedway Chick having chosen the winning car will move into first place as the season’s competition begins.
