LEBANON, MO (September 14) - The final stretch run for the 2010 championship chase plus kids bike races sponsored by Energy Company will highlight the Racing action Friday Night. This will be the last chance for drivers to move positions before the season championships next week in all 6 classes as drivers prepare for the stretch drive. Action will feature the Central Bank FactoryStocks as Springfield's Ben Solberg has been taking advantage of Tyson Troutman's bad luck lately and has moved ahead of the Houston driver by 45 points while Tim Jones has caught fire lately and is now a solid third. The other undecided championship chase is in the Energy Company Modifieds as second season driver Michael Stake of Lebanon holds a slim 15 point margin over Stoutland's Tyler Brown.Brown cut into the lead last week and is still in the hunt for his first ever season title.Halfway driver Ted Ballinger has moved into third place while Lampe's Eric Tinderholt slides into fourth place while early season point leader Wayne Graybeal rounds out the top 5.Lebanon's Brian Myers has climbed to sixth and still has a chance on a top 5 finish. Lebanon's Joe Francis still maintains the Coldwell Banker StreetStock standings while Lynchburg's Brandon Waters is in a tight battle for second with Ava's Jack Hamer,Rodney yost of Squires,Nebo's Billy Waters and Lebanon's Monk Barker. The PureStocks have been a strong class in the last 2 months or more as Lebanon's Kory Barker has clinched the season title in the Black Jack 21 special.Lebanon's Adam Lowrance still maintains the runner-up spot and then it gets tight as Robert McGinnis,Robert Doublin and Joey Long are battling for the third place position.This class provides outstanding action each week. The Rocky Ridge Construction Sportsman class has a new point leadercagain as defending champion Ben Newell moves back into the top spot with a 34 point margin over JC Newell as both drivers will be working from the rear of the field this week.Fair Grove's Tim Ballinger,Clinton Betts and Mike Jones complete the top 5. 14 year old JC Newell of Stoutland has secured his first ever title in the MidWest Modz division while Earl Muilenburg,Bobby Gough,Rich Reynolds and Terry Williams complete the top 5. Kids Bike Races at Intermission for kids 10 and under for both girls and boys will help highlight the racing action as this is the last scheduled fan interaction night.
