Season Championships Set For Friday Night At Midway-Midwest Modz Hold Special Event

LEBANON, Mo. (September 20) - The chase for the championship in the Central Bank Racing Series will become final Friday Night at the Lebanon Midway Speedway as the final points races will be held.

 The chase began back in April and has seen some outstanding regular point battles, new winners, and close racing action.

 Action will feature the Central Bank FactoryStocks in which Houston's Tyson Troutman has regained the top spot with an eight point lead over Ben Solberg of Springfield.With both drivers running the same heat race and starting towards the front in the feature,a large car count could make this chase interesting.Marshfield hard charger Tim Jones has a solid lock on third while Hartville's Chris Wynn and Grovespring's Mark Davis complete the top 5.Over 8 different drivers have won points events this season at Midway in the FactoryStocks.Denfending champion is Bob Gustin of Osage Beach.

 The Energy Company Modifieds will also go to the wire as second season driver Michael Stake goes into this weekend with a 22 point lead over Stoutland's Tyler Brown.

 Stake who won the Coca-Cola Fall Brawl last season and graduated from Lebanon this year has quietly moved his way up the standings with consistant top 5 runs and good finishes in his qualifying heat races.Stake with 2 wins this season and Brown have bee back and forth this season.Brown has caught fire this latter part of the season after early season problems started him back in the standings.Brown also with a couple of wins is always a threat to win.Halfway's Ted Ballinger holds a narrow third place spot over Lampe's Eric Tinderholt while Springfield's Wayne Graybeal has a tight battle for fifth place as Shawn Strong and Brian Myers along with JC Morton are knocking on the door.Over 8 different feature winners this season in the Modifieds.2009 champion is Mickey Burrell of Fair Grove

 The Coldwell Banker StreetStocks will see 2009 champion Joe Francis of Lebanon defend his title as he holds a large lead over Brandon Waters of Lynchburg.Waters is trying to hold off Jack Hamer of Ava for second place while Hamer has Rodney Yost of Squires trying to take over third place.Billy Waters and Monk Barker are battling for fifth place honors.Over 8 different drivers have won features this season and 2 former champions Mike Piercy of Lebanon and Brandon Knudtson of Lebanon both debuted new cars last Friday Night with good results in getting ready for the season-ending Coca-Cola Fall Brawl in October.

 PureStocks have become a crowd favorite this season as first season driver Kory Barker of Lebanon has wrapped-up the championship in his Black Jack 21 special.Barker realed off several feature wins in the middle part of the season and never looked back.Lebanon's Adam Lowrance will again finish in the runner-up spot as Robert Doublin has came on strong here in the last month and has vaulted to third in the standings while Robert McGinnis an early season contender fell to fourth while Joey Long claims fifth spot.8 different drivers have laid claim to a PureStock feature win as this class has really provided excitement.Les Hayes of Camdenton was the 2009 track champion.

 The Rocky Ridge Construction Sportsman title is still up for grabs as defending champion Ben Newell of Stoutland leads father JC Newell of Decaturville by 32 points.Fair grove's Tim Ballinger is a solid third with Clinton Betts of Stoutland holds the fourth place spot with Lebanon's Mike Jones in fifth place.5 different drivers have claimed feature wins in the Class.

 The newest class of Southwest Missouri racing is the Midwest Modz where Little JC Newell has clinched the title by capturing 10 point victories this season.Veteran Earl Muilenburg of Sparta holds the runner-up spot and Joplin's Bobby Gough is a solid third place.2 time winner Rich Reynolds of Mt Vernon has climbed into fourth place with Springfield's Terry Williams holds fifth place.The Speedway is holding an extra money event this Friday Night for the class and will hold an open draw for heats to qualify for the extra money throughout the field.

 Even with the points ending Friday night,the Speedway will be in action with the running of the Coca-Cola Fall Brawl on October 1st and 2nd with extra money thorughout the field.Friday Night October 1st action will feature qualifying heats and pole dashes for B-Mods,FactoryStocks,StreetStocks and PureStocks.LateModelSportsman will run a full show of heats and feature along with a special race for the Jr 1 Go-Karters.

 Sat Night October 2nd will see the return of the A-Mods competing for a $500 to win $75 to start feature.A-Mods will time trial for the heat races and compete for the feature.Midwest Modz will run a full program of heats and a feature paying $150 to win and $30 to start.

 Sat night will feature any last chance races for B-Mods,factroyStocks,StreetStocks and PureStocks.

 B-Mods and FactoryStocks battle for $500 to win and $100 to start while the StreetStock winner will take home $400 to win and $80 to start.PureStocks will race for $250 to win and $60 to start.

 No entry fee in any class and pitpasses each night will be $30.

 Grandstand Admission for the Fll Brawl will be Friday Night $10 and Sat Night $15.
