LEBANON, MO (July 12, 2011) - Racing action gets back underway Friday night at the Lebanon Midway Speedway as the track gets ready to host Relay For Life Night along with a couple of New Point leaders atop of the standings in the Central Bank Racing Series Action. Defending Central Bank FactoryStock Champion Tyson Troutman of Houston took advantage of Sundance Keepper not in attendance last week and has moved to the number 1 spot with a 26 point margin in the very tough competition of this class. Keepper slipped to second while rookie Shawn Whitman of Strafford,early season point leader and last weeks winner James Flood of Billings and Houston's Donnie Miller complete the top 5. Miller has been close several times to reaching the winners circle and is quietly moving forward. Defending Aaron's Modified Champion Michael Stake of Phillipsburg still holds a 54 point margin over JC Newell of Decaturville despite motor problems last Friday night.Republic's Shawn Strong moved back into third place with his victory last week as Bill Schaar of St Robert and Greg Strong of Nixa complete the top 5 as Kris Jackson,Brian Myers and Tony Moore are within distance of Greg Strong. The Energy Company PureStocks has a new point leader as Lebanon's Matt Young took advantage of Monk Barker's mishaps and Young now leads defending champion Kory Barker by 25 points despite Barker's victory last weekend.Monk Barker sets in third place only 16 behind Kory while Kolt Barker is only 12 behind Monk Barker as Lebanon's Shorty Doublin rounds out the top 5. Squire's Rodney Yost is quietly climbing upward and is fourth only 29 behind Waters while Ricky Brashears completes the top 5. Rocky Ridge Construction Midwest Modified defending Champion JC Newell of Stoutland has opened up a 28 point margin over Rich Reynolds while the Ageless Wonder Earl Muilenburg of Sparta has moved into third only 8 behind second place Reynolds.Last weeks winner Sam Petty who captured his first ever feature win last Friday night has vaulted to fourth place only 12 behind Muilenburg as Lebanon's Bill Joiner is only 1 behind Petty. This week is Relay for Life night as Relay teams are selling tickets for Friday Night.Each ticket bought from a Relay Team member has part of the proceeds going to that Team and the Lebanon Relay for Life Goal.A rep from 8 teams will be competing in local drivers cars at intermission to race for the Purple Crown along with a Trophy sponsored by The Trophy Shop in Lebanon(Angie Myers) and a car owners Trophy sponosred by East 32 Quick Stop(Harold and Janette Armstrong).Aaron's Sales and Rentals along with Energy Companies of Lebanon will be donating some prize money for the winning Relay Team along with proceeds from the 50/50 ticket sales that night.
