5th Annual CMH
Diamond Nationals this Saturday!
WHEATLAND,
MO (July 12, 2011) - The 5th Annual CMH Diamond Nationals takes place on
Saturday, July 16th at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri. The
Diamond Nationals has become one of the signature events of the "Diamond of
Dirt Tracks" and will once again feature the stars and cars of the Lucas Oil
Late Model Dirt Series and the Lucas Oil MLRA. Not only will the winner
receive the $10,000 first place prize money, they will also receive the
coveted Diamond Ring that has become the traditional winner's hardware at
this event. The Pitt's Homes A-Modifieds will also take to the track on
Saturday night, July 16th.
Defending CMH Diamond Nationals Champion and 2011 DART Show-Me 100 Winner,
Jimmy Owens out of Newport, TN currently sits atop the Lucas Oil Late Model
Dirt Series standings by just fifteen points. Multi-Tme series Champion and
Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer Scott Bloomquist out of Mooresburg, TN is
currently in the second spot. Bloomquist has won the last three LOLMDS
events heading into this weekend. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will
be in action Thursday and Friday at Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach, IL .
This could heat up the racing action as the points battle will be in full
force for the weekend.
"The Real Deal" Don O'Neal out of Martinsville, IN holds down the third spot
in the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series standings driving the Magnaflow
Exhaust MasterSbilt House Car. Ashland, Kentucky's Steve Francis sits in
fourth, as the former World of Outlaws Late Model Champion shoots for his
first Lucas title. Earl Pearson Jr. of Jackson, FL has moved into the top
five in his Lucas Oil Dodge Charger.
Jared Landers from Batesville, Arkansas is out front in the LOLMDS Rookie of
the Year point standings, as he sits in sixth place in overall points. Brad
Neat and Ray Cook follow with Dale McDowell and Mike Marlar rounding out the

Seven-Time and Defending Lucas Oil MLRA Champion Al Purkey out of
Coffeyville, KS continues to remain out front in current point standings.
Purkey drives a Hatfield Racing Engine powered Larry Shaw Chassis.
Marquette, Nebraska's Kyle Berck is in hot pursuit however as he sits in the
second spot as the former multi-time NCRA Champion chases his first ever
MLRA Championship. Omaha, Nebraska's John Anderson holds down the third spot
with Mount Vernon, Iowa's Chad Simpson in fourth. Springfield, Missouri's

Spectator Gates are set to open at 5:00pm on Saturday, July 16th with Hot
Laps set to get under way at 7:00pm and the first big race of the night at
7:30pm. Adult Admission at the gate is just $25 with Seniors and Active
Military only $20. Juniors (6-15) are just $5 and Kids 5 and under are
always FREE at Lucas Oil Speedway. Pit Pass Pricing is set at $35. The pit
area will close and clear at 2:00pm. Show Your AAA Membership Card at the
gate and receive $3 off any Adult or Senior General Admission Ticket.

Family Passes are priced at only $50 for this event which includes entry for
two adults (age 16 and up) and up to three youth (ages 6-15), discounts on
kids meals, gift shop merchandise, and funnel cakes.
The Lucas Oil Speedway is located at Highways 83 and 54 in Wheatland, MO. A
campground with shower and bathroom facilities is also available. With it's
entrance located just outside the pit gate this sprawling scenic camping
facility will continue to enhance the racing experience at the Diamond of
Dirt Tracks.
