For this event however the rear spoilers will not be allowed.All other USRA
rules are inforced including the chip rule and weight rules for the
different engine combinations.
A-Mod drivers who do not have a USRA license can buy a 1 time temporary
license at the track for only $10.
With the
Chase for the USRA National title beginning March 2nd and ending October
21st,SpringfieldRaceway wants to give drivers a chance to get a jump on the
title chase.
'Last season we sanctioned 2 of our season ending specials for USRA
National points and it allowed a couple of our regulars a chance to get into
the top 20 as Track Champion Jackie Dalton and 2010 champion Mitch Keeter
made the top 20 along with bringing even more outstanding talent to the
track known for its 3 wide action dubbed The Quick-Quarter.
USRA 2011 National Champion Johnny Bone Jr captured one of those events
while marching towards his $10,00 national title chase.
The winner of the A-Mod feature takes home $1200 to win the feature event
while starting the A Feature pockets a driver $400 to start.Non-Qualifiers
recieve $110 and must compete and start in their last chance race.Car entry
fee is $100 for the A-Mods while pitpasses are $35.
Jody Tillman a Springfield USRA regular took the lead from Kyle Covert in
2010 and held off a fast moving Chad Lyle to take the honors over 70 plus
other A-Mods.
The Turkey Classic has become a Springfield Raceway signature event
featuring 4 classes of cars.USRA RHS A-Mods,LateModels,B-Mods and Legend
Cars.
Latemodels
will battle for $2000 to win and $300 to start the feature with
Non-Qualifiers recieving $110 while car entry fee is $100.MARS/MLRA Rules
apply while Crate Latemodels run under NE Smith Chevrolet Crate Rules.Tire
rule is WRS D55 or LM 40's.Justin Wells of Aurora is the defending event
winner.
The B-Mods have a few different rule packages to race under as they compete
for 750 to win and 110 to start the feature.Non-Qualifiers recieve 80 while
the Car Entry Fee is $40.GM Performance Crate bonus money is also available
in the A feature to those drive with a 602 Crate motor as the highest
finishing crate driver can grab an extra $100 to their winnings while the
2nd and 3rd highest capture an extra $75 and 4th highest $50.Last season
Jesse Sobbing came from 10th in his IMCA legal B-Mod to take the honors over
60 plus entries.
INEX 600
Series Legend Cars also help complete an exciting event as they battle for
$300 to win and 35 to start with no car entry fee.
THe
top 8 in passing points redraw for their starting spots in all 4 classes.
