Staying Busy in the "Off-Season"
WHEATLAND, MO (March 1, 2012) - Each race season after fans and drivers have
left Lucas Oil Speedway for the winter months, planning, improving and
prepping for the following race season begins. In 2011, Lake Lucas made its
debut and welcomed a new crowd of race fans to Wheatland, Missouri. In 2012,
facility improvements will be ready for race fans on opening night, April
14, 2012 when the Lucas Oil MLRA hits the track. Some of the most noticeable
improvements will be the expanded campground and additional sidewalk and
midway areas. Not only are we working at the Speedway but also out in the
community. Many fans and drivers have caught up with us at trade shows, the
Ozarks Area Racers Reunion, auto events and even at the Sertoma Chili
Cook-off. We appreciate everyone who supported each event.
With only
43 days and counting until the Lucas Oil MLRA rolls into Lucas Oil Speedway,
finishing touches and final details are in process to make the Diamond of
Dirt tracks sparkle. The biggest addition for 2012 is the vastly expanded
campground. As a guest at Lucas Oil Speedway, we invite you to make the most
out of your time here. Bring your family to the Diamond of Dirt Tracks for a
weekend spent in the great outdoors. The newly expanded Campground now
includes rolling green hills, walking trails and two fishing ponds. The
Campground itself is situated just East of the Pits then winds around
through open and wooded areas ending near the swimming beach at Lake Lucas.
"We are always looking to enhance a fans experience at Lucas Oil Speedway,
the new campground expansion is a wonderful addition to our facility, "
shared General Manager, Dan Robinson.

While it may not slow down much here at Lucas Oil
Speedway in the "off-season," we are fortunate to be a part of a company
always looking to give back. Two nights ago, a tornado affected many people
in the Ozarks. Some of the damage hit close to home in Buffalo, Missouri.
Today our staff delivered several cases of Lucas Oil Products to the crews
removing trees and debris from the tornado ravaged area at the direction of
Forrest Lucas, owner and founder of Lucas Oil Products. Our thoughts and
prayers are with all those affected.
