MOBERLY, Ia. (June 10, 2006) - Due to the heavy rains that came to 24 Raceway around 5pm last Saturday, June 10 at 24 Raceway, the 4 cly. Hornet-class Mechanics Race will now follow the regular five classes of: both A & B modifieds, Sportsman, Hobby Stock and the 4 cly. Hornets this coming weekend of June 17th. And the Limited Late Models will now be racing for a cool $500 to go the winner, thanks to Racemart of Memphis, MO, and all of this on June 17.

Adult admission to the grandstand is $10, kids are $5 for ages 6 to 12. Rates for the popular Family Pass are $25, and that includes admission to the grandstands for 2 adults and 3 children, ages 6 to 12. Kids under 6 are always free. Dirt Track Racing at its Best happens all season long at 24 Raceway, 3 miles east of Moberly Missouri on Highway 24. Racing starts at 7 p.m. with hot laps at 6:15 following a short drivers' meeting every Saturday night this season.

As an added note, the "Dukes of Hazzard" extravaganza, featuring the "General Lee", a vintage police car, and 2 other "Duke" cars, will now be taking place at the intermission on the 24th of June after last weekend's rainout. Amoung the give-aways will be a larger die-cast of the General Lee and some tee-shirts from Cooter's Garage, brought back from Nashville.
