CORNHUSKER CLASSIC NIGHT TWO IS VICTIM OF RAIN
By Jim Brennan
GREENWOOD, NE. (Sept. 24, 2006) - The second night of the Cornhusker Classic
here at I-80 Speedway fell victim to rain Saturday night.
About 5:30 p.m., after the drivers' meeting had taken place, a shower came
through and later stopped. The track was packed again but at 6:15, with
prospects of more rain on the way, the night's events were canceled.
The makeup race has been tentatively rescheduled for Saturday, Oct. 14. The
WORLD Dirt Racing League will be back then. The support classes that qualified
for the finale through heat races on Friday night will also have second-chance
races and feature events.
More information on I-80 Speedway will be available the first part of the week
on the track Web site, neracewaypark.com. Or you can call the track office at
(402) 342-3453.
