McCool Junction, Neb. (March 27, 2006) - McCook Speedway promoter Chuck Gray has made the difficult early decision to cancel the opening night race program on March 31. The frontstretch of the racetrack and the pit area are not in good condition after last week's major snowstorm. While this week's forecast does call for some warmer weather, the entire conditions forecasted for the week do not improve the ground situation significantly. Opening night for McCook Speedway, weather permitting, will be on Friday, April 21. The gates will open at 6 PM CDT, and the races will start at 8 PM CDT.
