October Fest special set at Beatrice Speedway this weekend
BEATRICE, Neb. (Oct. 2) – Beatrice Speedway’s big late season October Fest
special is set for this week end, featuring IMCA-sanctioned Modifieds, Hobby
Stocks and Sport Compacts.
Modifieds chase a first place prize of $3,000 at the Friday and Saturday, Oct.
5-6 event, with a minimum of $150 paid to qualifiers for the 24-car main event.
The purse is based on a minimum of 80 entries and the win ner also qualifies for
the 2008 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot.
Hobby Stocks race for $1,000 to win and $100 to start in their 20-car feature.
Sport Compacts vie for $200 to win.
Practice is from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4. Gates open at 4 p.m. Friday, with
hot laps at 5:30 p.m. and racing at 6:30 p.m. On Saturday, gates open at 3 p.m.,
hot laps are at 4:30 p.m. and racing is at 6:30 p.m.
