McCOOK, NEBR (June 26) - The heat races were nearly finished on June 26 at McCook Speedway when heavy rain fell. As all of the IMCA heat races were completed, the night was considered a completed show. People who purchased 50/50 tickets are asked to keep those and bring them back for the drawing on July 10. On that night, makeup features for the classes will be run before the regular show. Mod Lites are on the schedule as well for July 10. The next race in Southwestern Nebraska will be at Culbertson Speedway in Culbertson on Friday, July 3. The gates will open at 6 PM, and the races will start at 8 PM, Central Time. The same five classes that run at McCook Speedway will run at Culbertson. All points earned at Culbertson will go towards the McCook Speedway points standings. Heat race winners for June 26 include Don Hagan, Jr. of McCook and Jay Steffens of North Platte in the IMCA Modified division, Travis Tilford of North Platte and Jason Koch of Cambridge in the IMCA Stock Car Class, IMCA Hobby Stock drivers Litton Stute and Richard Boon, both of Benkelman, and Bryan Herrick of Curtis in the SportMod division. The Classic Modified A Feature was under a red flag condition after Trenton driver Alex Pollmann rolled over when the rain fell. Alex was not injured, but was unable to get out of the car until it was set on its wheels. June 26
