LINCOLN, Neb.
(April 30) – Speedway Motors begins a fourth decade as a sponsor of IMCA
racing, with a broadly based program
benefiting drivers as well as sanctioned tracks in 2010. IMCA’s
longest tenured partner, the Lincoln, Neb., speed shop also enters its third
year as title sponsor of the sanctioning body’s high profile weekly racing
program. Speedway Motors will again provide promoter jackets and shirts,
tech official shirts, flags and
banners, among other items, to tracks crowning IMCA champions. "As the apparel program
enters its third season, we know tracks are receiving items to help with the
appearance of their facility that they otherwise may have to purchase on
their own,” noted IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder. “As the program
continues, we are going to look at redesigning things to keep it fresh and
maintain a professional look at IMCA tracks." Speedway Motors also
continues its title sponsorship of Super Nationals, the premier event in
dirt track racing in the country. The 28th annual event will be
held Sept. 6-11 at Boone Speedway Registered rookies in all
divisions will receive $100 gift cards, a T-shirt and special decal from
Speedway Motors after their first feature win. The highest finishing
eligible driver in each IMCA Modified and IMCA Sunoco Stock Car region, and
in national standings for Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and Southwest
Racing Specialties Southern SportMods, will receive a set of Tru-Coil
springs from Speedway. In addition to competing
with Tru-Coil springs during the regular point season, drivers are required
to complete and return a sign-up form to the IMCA home office by Aug. 1. Information
about products available from Speedway Motors is available at the
www.speedwaymotors.com website. A
free catalog can be ordered from the same site.” "One of my favorite
programs is the rookie feature win program, because it is very exciting for
drivers to taste success when entering a new division,” Yoder said. “It is
quite an accomplishment and we are proud to team with Speedway Motors to
give this added recognition."
