ALBION, Neb. (July 11, 2010) – Brian Brown raced from the eighth starting position to pick up the $3,000 winner’s share in Sunday night’s American Sprint Car Series Midwest Region debut at Boone County Raceway. Brown took command at the midway point of the 25-lapper en route to his 14th career ASCS Midwest score aboard the FVP No. 21 Maxim, beating 11th-starter Chad Humston, Doug Lovegrove, Tyler Drueke and Jason Danley to the stripe. Eric Lutz paced the initial seven rounds of the feature event before retiring pitside with engine issues. Lovegrove assumed the point and held on until Brown raced into the lead on lap 13 restart that followed a Ryan Roberts turn four tumble. Brown and Danley topped heat race action, with Brodie Tulloch and Lutz winning the qualifying races. ASCS Midwest points leader Jack Dover scratched from the main event with engine problems in the Swenson No. 24a entry.
