Sandhills Shootout Purse July 15-16 NOT Based on Car Count

PLATTE, Neb. (July 8, 2011) - For the first time in 13 years, the Lincoln
County Ag Society has dropped the car count requirement for the purse of
their annual Sandhills Shootout for the IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Stock
Cars at Lincoln County Raceway Friday and Saturday, July 15-16.
Modifieds
will race for $1,000 to win and $75 to start on the opening night and $1,500
to win, $150 to start on the second night.
The Stock Car feature pays $500 to win on the first night, and doubles to
$1,000 to win on the second night.
All applicable IMCA points will be awarded both days. IMCA Contingencies
will be available to many of the drivers of either class that make the A
Feature on the second day only.
Registration fee is $100 for Modifieds and $75 for Stock Cars. Early
registrations may be mailed to Lincoln County Ag Society-Sandhills Shootout,
5015 Rodeo Road, North Platte, Nebraska 69101.
Pit gates
and the grandstand open at 5 p.m. both days, hot laps are at approximately 6
p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m.
Grandstand admission for adults is $10 on Friday, $12 on Saturday or $20 for
a two-day ticket; kids 6-12 are $5 each night; and youngsters five and under
will be admitted free both days. Adult two-day passes are available at
various businesses around town and the Lincoln County Ag Society. Pit
passes are $25.
The Sandhills Shootout is presented by the Lincoln County Ag Society. Rain
date is Monday July 18.

Lincoln
County Raceway is a 3/8-mile dirt oval track on the Lincoln County
Fairgrounds. It is located in the northwest corner of North Platte along
U.S. Highway 30, also called Rodeo Road, approximately 3 miles west of U. S.
Highway 83.
