were not to be. The rain came pouring down and sent the fans home a little
early. Next Saturday night will be Double Features for the Stock Car class and
The Modified division. The Modifieds will also be competing for the Karl
Chevrolet Hard Charger Award presented by Bryan Denekas.
Earlier in the evening the Econo Stocks took to the track and the fans saw young

the lead over T.J. Mortenson when his machine went off the pace on the speedway.
Wolgram was followed by Donovan Nokes, Tyler Pickett, and Virgil Stewart would
all round out the top four. Mortenson would pick up the heat race win.
The Performance Electric Hobby Stocks made their way out for their A-Main event
and saw Justin Ades grab the early race lead. Ades would continue to lead as
challengers Brandon Leeman, Mark Haglund and Ron Stein would be knocking on the
back door. Finally Stein was able to make the car stick to bottom and grab the
lead coming off of turn two. Stein would go door to door with Haglund for the
last several laps and coming off of turn number four Stein was able to motor to
the feature win. Mark Haglund, Justin Ades, and Curt Hook would round out the
top four. Haglund and Stein would pick up heat race wins.
The Conley’s Trucking Limited Modifieds made their way out onto the speedway.
Ryan Gustin and Ryan Giles would battle early for the race lead until Gustin was
finally able to secure the top spot all by himself. Giles would continue to
control the runner up spot but would not be able to run down Gustin. Ryan Gustin
would take home the checkered flag. Giles, Doug McCollough, and Matt Lettow
would round out the top four. McCollough and Gustin would pick up heat race
wins.
Finally, The Neighbors Heating, Cooling and Plumbing Stock Cars would it to the
Speedway and this is where the night would draw to a close. Lance Deal is
currently the race leader with two laps down. When the cars go back under the
green Deal will be followed by Mitchell Griffith, Todd Foster, and Ryan Leeman.
Next Saturday night will be normal start time with hot laps 6:00 with racing to
follow. The Stock Cars will begin the racing program followed by the West Wind
Logistics Modifieds to complete their first of two A-Feature events. What a
night of racing it is going to be and reguler gate admission will get you two
for the price of one when it comes to the premier divisions offered at The
Historic Half Mile.
In just two short weeks The IMCA Late Models will be back to the Famed ½ Mile
and an average of 21 late models last season, you can’t afford to miss it.
