NCRA Joins RaceRPM.com
by: Bucky Doren
CEDAR FALLS, Ia (April 23, 2006) - The National Championship Racing Association
has joined the RaceRPM.com Post-Race line for the 2006 racing season. NCRA race
fans will be able to hear post-race reports from the track on select races this
season.
"We're excited to be working with Bucky and RaceRPM.com to advance and promote
this technology," NCRA media relations director Randy Fisher said. "It provides
another way for NCRA fans to learn about the race shortly after the checker and
also introduces our three divisions to a new audience via the Internet."
Race fans that are not able to make it to the track will be able to stay on top
of the action by logging onto RaceRPM.com. Shortly after the checkered flag
falls, there will be an audio file that anyone can download for free.
RaceRPM.com also provides a Flash-based player to play these .MP3 files.
"We also plan to use this audio for our newest segment called ‘Race Ready,'"
added RaceRPM.com owner Bucky Doren. "Race Ready started out as a feature we
produced for a few radio station in the Midwest focusing on NASCAR. It has grown
it something much larger than a two-minute segment."
"The internet version is mostly dirt news. We include sound bites that we gather
from our trackside coverage," Doren explained. "We plan to include these
post-race reports from the NCRA. We have already begun talking with a few other
racing groups, and they are very interested in joining Team RaceRPM.com."
"If we get enough interest, we may break the dirt news out into its own
feature," closed Doren. RaceRPM.com is also working on adding NCRA driver
interviews to their site later this summer.
The first weekend for NCRA post-race reports is this weekend. On Saturday, April
29th, the NCRA Sprint Car Series stops at Jetmore Motorplex (Jetmore, KS). The
next night will see the Sprint Cars travel to Wakeeney Speedway (Wakeeney, KS).
The NCRA will upload post-race recaps after each night of racing.
