2006 Season Ticket Sales at Iowa Speedway Begin May 6th
Newton, IA (April 26, 2006) - Iowa Speedway officials announced today season
tickets sales for the 2006 Inaugural Racing Season begin Saturday, May 6. Each
season ticket includes a parking pass, VIP invitations to special events, early
bird ticket alerts, the same seat assignment for all five racing events at Iowa
Speedway's historic first season of racing on the 7/8 mile asphalt oval "Rusty
Wallace Signature Series Track" at Newton, Iowa. Season Ticket holders will hold
the first right of renewal for their seats entering the 2007 racing season
guaranteeing them the best seats for the larger events soon to come. The 2006
racing schedule includes:
USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series, September 15
Qualifying and Heat Races for the USAC Silver Crown Series, Sprints and Midgets,
September 16
USAC Silver Crown Series, Sprints and Midgets (3 races), September 17
ASA Late Model Series, October 14
ARCA RE/MAX Series, October 15
Season tickets may be purchased at the Iowa Speedway office located off exit 168
on I-80 in Newton from noon-4:00pm, Saturday, May 6th. In addition, racing fans
may purchase season tickets directly through Ticket Master by calling
515-243-1888, or at www.ticketmaster.com. Speedway box office hours are 9-5
Mon-Sat with extended hours to 7pm on Wednesdays. A limited amount of Inaugural
Season Iowa Speedway merchandise will be on sale at the track office or through
the online store at www.iowaspeedway.com beginning May 6th.
Individual Event Tickets will go on sale in July.
Iowa Speedway General Manager Todd Melfi encourages fans to purchase tickets
early, especially Iowans new to racing, since tickets are expected to sell
quickly, "The much anticipated Inaugural Season at Iowa Speedway will be
something special - since its our first season - and to hold a season ticket,
any ticket, for this year's races will guarantee excitement and a birds-eye view
of history in the making. There will only be one "first season" of racing at
Iowa Speedway and we encourage fans across the State of Iowa to take advantage
of our Season Ticket offer so that they are guaranteed a seat at every event."
