Van Wall Brings Deere, Polaris, and Yamaha to Iowa Speedway
NEWTON, IA. (May 22, 2006) - Iowa Speedway announced today it has entered
into partnerships with three major manufacturing affiliates of the Van Wall
Group for the 2006 racing season - John Deere, Polaris, and Yamaha. "These major
international brands, easily recognizable by racing fans, will have exclusivity
here at the track," according to Iowa Speedway General Manager, Todd Melfi, "and
we are pleased to have the Van Wall Group as an Iowa-based partner bringing us
these major brands".
The Van Wall Group, founded in Perry, Iowa, is the Midwest's largest John Deere
dealer and represents other manufacturing affiliates, including Polaris and
Yamaha. Don Van Houweling, CEO of the Van Wall Group, said his group is excited
to partner with Iowa Speedway, "We feel that our relationship with a world-class
performance facility like the Iowa Speedway is an excellent tie-in to the
world-class performance brands of John Deere, Polaris, Yamaha, and the Van Wall
Group".
Iowa Speedway kicks off the 2006 Inaugural Season on September 15 as the stars
of the Hooters Pro Cup Series invade the Heartland to christen the new track.
The Inaugural weekend will conclude with the USAC Silver Crown, National Sprint
and National Midget Series September 16-17.
