Iowa Wireless sponsors Jackson Co. Speedway Championships
First 200 Iowa Wireless customers receive free grandstand
admission
MAQUOKETA, IA (August 22, 2006) - Your cell phone could save you money this
Saturday at the Jackson County Speedway. Iowa Wireless is sponsoring the 2006
Season Championships at the Maquoketa track and is providing free grandstand to
the first 200 Iowa Wireless customers.
"This is a tremendous deal for our race fans and we are very happy to have Iowa
Wireless on board for our Season Championships" said track promoter Bob Wagener.
"We still have several extremely close battles for track championships and it
should be an exciting night of racing."
To receive the free admission, Iowa Wireless customers must bring their cell
phone and register at the Iowa Wireless tent before entering the grandstand
gate.
All seven regular weekly classes will be in action this Saturday: IMCA Late
Model, V-8 Modified, Street Stock, Hobby Stock, B-Mod, 4-Cylinder Stock, and
Trophy Truck.
After this Saturday's Season Championships, the Jackson County Speedway will see
action three more times this year.
The 'Night of Destruction' kicks off the Fall season Saturday, September 2nd.
The 'Night of Destruction' is highlighted by the fan favorite Trailer Race.
Other events on that evening include a School Bus race, Cheater Races, Powder
Puffs, and Mechanic Races.
The QC Dirt Classic features late model racing action: Spec vs Open engines. The
QC Dirt Classic will run Saturday, September 9th. Racing includes $2000 to win,
50-lap Late Model feature, V-8 Modifieds ($1000 to win), and Street Stocks ($500
to win).
The Iowa Short Track Challenge is slated for Saturday, September 23rd. The
Challenge is highlighted by a $1,000 to win V-8 Modified feature. Other classes
racing are Street Stocks, B-Mod, Hobby Stocks and 4-Stock.
