Four IMCA divisions to run at 15th Tiny Lund Memorial
HARLAN, IA. (Sept. 18, 2006) – A fourth IMCA division joins this weekend’s
card for the Tiny Lund Memorial at Shelby County Speedway Friday and Saturday,
Sept. 22-23.
The Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods, which debuted at the Harlan track during
the Deery Series program earlier this season, are new for the 15th annual event.
IMCA Modified drivers vie for a $3,000 first place prize, with the winner to be
added to the ballot for the 2007 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational. Stock Cars
run for $1,500 to win, Hobby Stocks for $1,000 and the Northern SportMods for
$500.
National, regional and Smiley’s Racing Products state points will be given and
$100 paid to the Modified driver making the longest tow. All IMCA rules,
including minimum weights for Modifieds and Stock Cars, apply.
Pit gates open at 3 p.m., with hot laps at 7 p.m. and racing to follow Friday.
On Saturday, gates open at 3 p.m. with hot laps at 6:30 p.m. and racing to
follow. Pit passes are $25. Admission is $15 for adults and $5 for kids.

Camping and hot showers will be available on the grounds and breakfast will be
served from 8-11 a.m. Saturday.
