Hamilton County Speedway Sanctions IMCA Sport Compacts for 2007
WEBSTER CITY, IA. - (Jan. 23, 2007) - Al Uhrhammer and Pro-Track Promotions have signed with IMCA to sanction the IMCA Sport Compact division for the 2007 race season. “I made the decision to run the Sport Compacts so that the younger people have an affordable way to get involved in the sport.” Stated Uhrhammer. “I feel that our entry level division needed to be at a price anyone at any age could afford.”
The Speedway has been running an Econo Stock division for number of year, but
with the cost going up, they have decide to eliminate the division. With the
availability of 4 cylinder cars, and the little amount of money need to get
started, this is a great way for people to get started in racing.
As with all of IMCA divisions there is a chance to run for a National
Championship in the division, and become the first IMCA Sport Compact Champion
at the Hamilton County Speedway. For rule information on the Sport Compact class
