DRT TRAK Racing Announces World of Outlaws Event
Late Models will battle on the quarter-mile
MAQUOKETA, IA (April 20, 2007) - The eyes of dirt track racing fans across
America will be on the Davenport Speedway on Wednesday, May 9th as the World of
Outlaws 360OTC Late Model Series comes to town.
The big race will be run on the quarter-mile for the first time. The series has
raced on the Davenport Speedway half-mile several times under the HAV-A-TAMPA
and Extreme Motorsports names.
According to DRT TRAK Racing promoter Bob Wagener, the smaller track will serve
as an equalizer. "The quarter-mile will allow our local racers to be competitive
with the top late model drivers in the country and should make for a great
race."
The World of Outlaws 360OTC Late Model Series is operated by DIRT Motorsports of
Charlotte, N.C. The series is comprised of fifty-two races at forty venues in
the United States and Canada.
