‘CITY CHEVROLET’ FASTRAK late model National Championship begins this weekend! FASTRAK (April 1) - The anticipation has been extremely high as teams from across the United States have been waiting on ‘opening night’ of the brand new $10,000 to win City Chevrolet FASTRAK late model National Championship to begin. “I can’t believe it’s finally here said Chris Knight of City Chevrolet. “Teams from across the country have joined the FASTRAK weekly sanctioning this year and it’s going to be a great success. The management of FASTRAK has been great to work with. They really made an effort to help the guy that can’t travel all over the country and gave them something big to race for. I tell these people at FASTRAK are really making a difference in racing all over the United States. I know we as City Chevrolet are excited about being involved and we look forward to our future years together with the FASTRAK series”. The championship pays a whopping $10,000 to win for all the weekly participants and pays through 30 positions in the United States. Participants may race as much as they like anywhere in the country but only their best 15 races will count towards the National Championship standings. Tiebreakers will be established by 1st place finishes, 2nd place finishes and so forth as to have a true National Weekly Champion. The top thirty will be presented their awards at the National Championship banquet scheduled for January in Nashville TN. “I just appreciate what City Chevrolet, Chris Knight, Bill Connor, Jerry Ferrell and Rick Hendrick have done for all of our teams” said Stan Lester Founder of the series. “They have been a big wheel behind the crate engine concept from the beginning and I want to see their involvement with FASTRAK really benefit them. Of course with Rick Hendrick as the owner of City Chevrolet, there is no doubt in anyone’s mind that he of all people, understands racing. It’s good to see a race team and business owner of the caliber of Rick Hendrick step up and support the weekly race teams in the country. It says a lot about the type of people they truly are”. Get ready, the time is here. The City Chevrolet FASTRAK National Weekly Championship begins Friday April 4th across the United States at FASTRAK weekly sanctioned tracks. Check the website for FASTRAK weekly sanctioned tracks in your area.
