OSKALOOSA “LICENSED TO THRILL” FANS THIS WEDNESDAY

OSKALOOSA, Iowa (June 15) – The Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa, Iowa, is back in action on Wednesday, June 17, as Racemart presents the first of several “Licensed to Thrill” special events at the Mahaska County Half-Mile Monster.

Race fans from the town of Oskaloosa simply need to show their driver's license or i.d. card to get FREE admission to the grandstands and enjoy a full night of racing action on the house!

On the racing card will be the American Racer USRA Weekly Racing Series featuring MUSCO Lighting USRA Modifieds, USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Cars, Carter’s Manufacturing USRA B-Mods and USRA Hobby Stocks.

The pits will open at 5 p.m. and grandstand gates will open at 5:30, with hot laps at 7:15 and racing at 7:30 p.m. sharp.

Other Wednesday night “Licensed to Thrill” events in 2009 include July 15 (New Sharon), July 29 (Ottumwa) and Aug. 19 (Centerville and Bloomfield).

And don't forget ... coming Wednesday, July 22, the Southern Iowa Fair is in town as KBOE Radio presents the Deery Brothers Summer Series for I.M.C.A. Late Models along with all four American Racer USRA Weekly Racing Series divisions.

The Southern Iowa Speedway is a half-mile semi-banked clay oval located 0.5 mile west of US 63 on SR 92, then 0.3 mile north on N. I St. (at the Southern Iowa Fairgrounds).
