OSKALOOSA, Iowa (June 17) – The races for Wednesday, June 17, at the Southern Iowa Speedway have been canceled due to extremely wet conditions. Officials will announce details later this week about a make-up date for the "License to Thrill" promotion for Oskaloosa race fans. With the grace of Mother Nature, racing action will continue next Wednesday, June 24, with the American Racer USRA Weekly Racing Series featuring MUSCO Lighting Modifieds, Karl Chevrolet Stock Cars, Carter’s Manufacturing B-Mods and Hobby Stocks. Next week's program at the Mahaska County Half-Mile Monster is presented by Palmer for State Representative. The pits will open at 5 p.m. and grandstand gates will open at 5:30, with hot laps at 7:15 and racing at 7:30 p.m. sharp. And don't forget ... coming Wednesday, July 22, the Southern Iowa Fair is in town as KBOE Radio presents the Deery Brothers Summer Series for I.M.C.A. Late Models along with all four American Racer USRA Weekly Racing Series divisions.
