SOUTHERN IOWA SPEEDWAY CANCELED FOR JULY 8
OSKALOOSA, Iowa (July 8) – The races for Wednesday, July 8, at the Southern
Iowa Speedway have been canceled due to extremely wet conditions.
With the grace of Mother Nature, racing action will continue next Wednesday,
July 15, with the American Racer USRA Weekly Racing Series featuring MUSCO
Lighting Modifieds, Karl Chevrolet Stock Cars, Carter’s Manufacturing B-Mods
and Hobby Stocks.
B-Mods will be racing for an increased purse with $700 up for grabs to the
main event winner.
Next week's program at the Mahaska County Half-Mile Monster will also be
Licensed to Thrill” night for residents of New Sharon. Race fans from the
town of New Sharon simply need to show their driver's license or i.d. card
to get FREE admission to the grandstands and enjoy a full night of racing
action on the house!.
The pits will open at 5 p.m. and grandstand gates will open at 5:30, with
hot laps at 7:15 and racing at 7:30 p.m. sharp.
And don't forget ... coming Wednesday, July 22, the Southern Iowa Fair is in
town as KBOE Radio presents the Deery Brothers Summer Series for I.M.C.A.
Late Models along with all four American Racer USRA Weekly Racing Series
divisions.
