Quincy Herald Whig Starts New Quincy Raceway Blog QUINCY, IL (April 1) - The Quincy Herald Whig daily newspaper has announced a new Blog called "Stevie Dirt", a dirt-track racing blog that went live late Tuesday afternoon and should provide an excellent forum for local race fans. Late Models, Modifieds, Hobby Stocks and IMCA stock cars will be the main topics of interest that will feature rankings, reader polls, inside information and general discussions. The blog will run Monday through Friday and can be found at www.whig.com, click on "blogs" and go to "Stevie Dirt" at the bottom left of the page. "Stevie Dirt" (writer Steve Eighinger) said today's blog will remain up through Sunday, with the regular schedule of blogs beginning Monday. "This is an exciting time of the year for dirt-track fans," Eighinger said. "It's the start of a new season and we think this will provide an excellent opportunity for added racing coverage, plus providing a place for local fans to talk about their favorite sport. "As Darrell Waltrip says, 'Let's go racin', boys!!" |
