Quincy Raceways Looks Forward to a Great 2009 Season

QUINCY, IL (March 31) - Quincy Raceways has announced a very aggressive 2009 racing schedule while looking for a great season. The Budweiser J&J Steel IMCA Late Models, Miller Lite UMP Modifieds, Triple R Performance Engines Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars and the Tim’s Machine Shop Hobby Stocks will provide the weekly racing action on the lightning fast “Broadway Bull Ring” again this season. The regular race season gets underway on Sunday, April 5. and is scheduled to end on Sept. 13.

 The  Special Events for the 2009 season will feature the Deery Brothers Summer Series for IMCA Late Models twice on April 19 and Sept 6, the O’Reilly Mid West All Star 410 Sprints on May 24, Mod Lite/Dwarf Cars on May 25 and Sept. 6, an AMA Grand National Hot Shoe Motorcycles on May 30, the POWRi Midgets on June 7, the Titan Wheel Topless IMCA Late Model $3000 to Win Shootout on June 28, the UMP Summer Nationals $10,000 to Win for UMP Late Models on July 3, The Tri-State IMCA Stock Car Shootout $1000 to Win on July 3, the Ideal Ready Mix Sprint Invaders on July 19 and Sept. 13, the First Annual Gem City UMP Modified Shootout $2000 to Win, AMA Extreme Dirt Track Midwest ATV Series on Aug.15, Monster Midwest Series for UMP Late Models $2000 to Win, and the Illinois Farm Pullers Association Tractor Pull on Aug. 29.  

 Quincy Raceways Promoter Tony Rhinberger brought on a new partner for this season as Paul Holtschlag has purchased an interest in track operations. Paul will be working to bring in several other special entertainment events for 2009 including some music events. Watch the Quincy Raceways Website for more information as details are finalized.

 Regular Event Grandstand ticket prices remain unchanged for the 2009 season at $10 for Adults, $7 for Seniors, $5 for Teens, and Kids 10 and under Free. Pit Gates open at 4 with Grandstands at 5. Drivers Meeting at 5:45, Hot Laps at 6 and Racing at 6:30pm on Sunday nights, April 5 through Sept. 13.
