Reilly Midwest All Stars to celebrate Labor Day at Quincy Raceways

By Kelly Brown Public Relations Director

QUINCY, IL (September 1) - Labor Day is a holiday where most workers get to sit back and relax, which is true of the drivers and crews of the O Reilly Midwest All Star Series. But the night before their day-off the Midwest All Stars will be in action at Quincy Raceways in Quincy, Illinois on Sunday September 6th for a pre-holiday thriller that fans of 410 sprint car racing will not want to miss.

Quincy Raceways joined the Midwest All Star schedule in 2008 and has been the host of two events. At the first event it was 2009 Series Champion Jerrod Hull who recorded his first victory of the season. It was a quite a battle between Hull and All Star veteran Danny Smith, but in the end youth out ran experience. Quincy was also the home of the final event of the 2008 season.

When the Midwest All Star Series took on Quincy Raceways in May, Jim Moughan won his first Midwest All Star event. At the beginning of the main event Moughan grabbed the lead from his front row starting position.

Moughan would defend his lead through three restarts and countless charges from Tom Dickerman, but at the end of the night Moughan was too strong.

On Sunday, September 6th the gates will open at 5:00 pm with Hot Laps at 6:00 pm and racing action beginning at 6:30 pm. General Admission on Saturday night will run $20 for adults, with senior tickets running $15, teen tickets (11-15) will be $10, and children 10 and under free. Pit passes for the event will be $25. Quincy Raceways is also offering a family value pack for the evening which includes two adult and two teen tickets for $50, which is a savings of $10. For more information on the event call 217-224-4100 or visit www.quincyraceways.com .
