QUINCY, IL (September 1) - Labor Day Sunday, September 5 will be a huge night of racing action at Quincy Raceways with the first ever Sullivan Auctioneers King of the Hill/Front Row Challenge for all classes, the Advance Trading River City Rumble for UMP Modifieds and the Summy Tire and Auto Center Trophy Dash Finale for the Budweiser IMCA Late Models plus feature events in the Tim’s Machine Shop Hobby Stocks, Triple R Performance Engines IMCA Stock Cars, Miller Lite UMP Modifieds and the Budweiser IMCA Late Models. All cars in all classes will time trial setting up the King of the Hill Shootout which is formatted somewhat like a tournament with four cars to a group racing for three green flag laps with the top 2 finishers moving on to the next round. The final round winner of the King of the Hill competition will earn the right to start on the pole position of the feature event but will be offered the opportunity of the Front Row Challenge and move to the tail of the field at the start of the feature event and race for 50% more winnings if they can win the main event from the last starting spot. The IMCA Late Models will compete for $1000 to Win, UMP Modifieds $500 to Win, IMCA Stock Cars $400 to Win and the Hobby Stock $250 to Win with the KOH winner possibly earning another 50% more if they can start on the rear and win the feature event. Fast Time in each division will pay $100 with a bonus guaranteed to the KOH winners who accept the Front Row Challenge but fail to win the main event. Details are available at the Quincy Raceways website www.quincyraceways.com. The Advance Trading River City Rumble is for the top 12 in the final Quincy Raceways UMP Modified track point standings. The 35 lap event will pay $1000 to Win and $50 to Start with a total purse of $3400. The top 12 drivers that are eligible to compete are Jared Schlipman, Michael Long, Steven DeLonjay, David Wietholder, Justin Reed, Shawn Deering, Tony Dunker, Ryan Meyer, James Leffew, Robbie Reed, Ben Huff and Troy Grotz. The Summy Tire & Auto Center Trophy Dash Finale is for the top 10 drivers in Budweiser IMCA Late Model Trophy Dash Points. The event will pay $600 to Win and $100 to start with a total purse of $2000. The top 10 drivers in dash points are Justin Reed, Denny Woodworth, Joey Gower, Jason Perry, Dustin Neese, Billy Genenbacher, Keith Pratt, Robbie Warner, Lonnie Bailey and Mark Burgtorf. The final point standings for the 2010 season are available on the Quincy Raceways website as well as the Summy Tire and Auto Center IMCA Late Model Trophy Dash Points. The Pit Gates open at 3, Grandstands at 4, Driver Meeting and Driver’s Registration ending at 4:45, Hot Laps at 5 and racing at 5:30pm on Sunday, September 5.
