Invaders Finale Set for Lee County Speedway

BURLINGTON, IA (Sept. 20, 2006) – The final chapter of the 2006 Ideal Ready Mix Sprint Invaders’ book will be written at the Lee County Speedway on Saturday, September 23. The season-long battle between Matt Sutton and Ryan Jamison will culminate during the eighteenth and final round.

Sutton holds a 64-point advantage over Jamison, the 2002 Invaders victor. If the Macomb, Ill. driver simply qualifies for the $1,000 to win “Mt. Hamill Elevator & Lumber/ Donnellson Elevator / Mt. Pleasant Lumber 25,” he will clinch his first series title. In four previous 2006 Lee County Speedway starts, Jamison has two top fives and three top tens while Sutton’s three victories came at LCS. The duo finished one-two during the last Donnellson round at the Lee County Fair.

Dan Avery is another driver looking to wrap up some post-season hardware. Avery holds a 160-point lead over Matt Krieger in the Rookie of the Year standings. When Avery hits the track, he will clinch that award. The Burlington, Iowa driver’s best feature finish was an 18th at Peoria in late July.
