Sprint Invaders Banquet: Jamison to pick up second crown

BURLINGTON, IA (Nov. 9, 2006) – The Ideal Ready Mix Sprint Invaders’ drivers, crews, and associates will gather November 11, at Burlington’s Comfort Suites and Conference Center to put an exclamation point the fifth anniversary season of the 360 Winged Sprint Car group. Among the awards presented will be the championship trophy to Mediapolis, Iowa veteran Ryan Jamison.

In all, 22 owners and 20 drivers will walk across the stage for their portion of the series point fund.

Social hour kicks off at 5:30, with dinner to follow at 6:30. The awards presentations, including a host of specialty awards and contingency drawings, will start promptly at 8 p.m.

In other series news, skill requirements are posted at www.sprintinvaders.com for all open administrative positions. The members will vote on two board members at the December 3rd General Membership Meeting. Another item of interest will be potential changes to the rulebook for 2007.


2006 Fast facts:

Ryan Jamison had one more top 10 than did Matt Sutton (12-11), but five less top 5s (10-5)

Rookie of the Year: 18A Dan Avery – Burlington, IA (Best finish of 18th at Peoria)
