All Stars Announce Series Title Sponsor
CAMARGO, IL (Dec. 16, 2006) - O’Reilly Auto Parts has agreed to a multi-year
deal with All Star Circuit of Champions to become the Title Sponsor of the
series. O'Reilly Auto Parts, headquartered in Springfield, Mo., is one of the
largest specialty retailers of automotive aftermarket parts, tools, supplies,
equipment and accessories serving both the do-it-yourself and the professional
installer markets. Founded in 1957 by the O'Reilly family, the company currently
operates more than 1,600 stores in 25 states. With their planned expansion into
the Ohio region of the Midwest, the All Star series fits nicely into their
future marketing philosophy.
O'Reilly Auto Parts has been a long time supporter of grass roots level auto
racing. The All Stars are pleased to be a new marketing partner with O'Reilly
and look forward to future promotions that will benefit the fans both at the
track and at the parts counter. "We're excited to have a company such as
O'Reilly come onboard with the All Stars," said series president Guy Webb. "The
All Star series is one of the longest running winged sprint car groups in the
United States with a heavy presence in the Midwest.
This partnership will mutually benefit both groups and we hope to bring added
entertainment value to the fans in 2007 while assisting tracks with the
promotion of our racing events."The new acquisition by the All Stars of the
former Mid-American Sprint Series – now known as the Midwest All Star Series –
will also carry the O’Reilly banner. “Our goal is to expand our brand of 410
winged sprint car racing into various areas of the Midwest where it needs a
boost,” said Webb. “Our newly formed partnership with O’Reilly Auto Parts will
help us to see that idea through.”
O'Reilly Auto Parts Director of Motorsports Marketing, Kevin Greven, was
instrumental in this new alliance with the All Star series. "We're excited about
partnering with one of the most recognized touring sprint car groups in the
U.S.," said Greven. "We look forward to working with the All Stars as we
continue to expand our operations throughout the Midwest.
"O'Reilly Auto Parts has been a key partner in the development and growth of
grass roots level dirt track racing and they maintain a vital presence with our
fan base," stated Webb. “Race fans are the most loyal group of fans in the
market today when it comes to showing support for sponsors by purchasing their
products and services almost exclusively,” he continued. “We look forward to
this opportunity and we are really looking forward to the 2007 season.”
The All Stars will honor the 2006 Series Champion Greg Wilson and the Top 10 in
season points at their awards banquet to be held on January 7th at the Eldora
Ballroom in Rossburg, OH. Preparations have already begun for the season opener
in Florida at Volusia Speedway Park on February 6th.
