John Hall Racing makes second main of the year
MARION, IOWA (June 6, 2009)—John Hall and his Left Turn Enterprises racing
team continue to show steady results and strong efforts. The team competed
with the Knoxville Championship Cup Series at the Knoxville Raceway in
Knoxville, Iowa, on Saturday, June 6, and made their second main event of
the year.
Hall once again found luck on his side at the draw window for starting
position, putting him outside the front row in his heat race. Even after
having the past two weeks off from racing, he showed tremendous speed in hot
laps, topping the list of 360 division competitors for a couple of laps and
ending up seventh of the 33 competitors.
In his heat race, he got a good run on the polesitter at the start and ran
away from the rest of the field, winning the seven-lap affair by almost
three seconds. The win, combined with the passing points he earned for
passing the polesitter, showed Hall was the second-highest point getter for
the night.
Unfortunately, an invert of eight put him seventh on the grid to start the
15-lap A-Main. Hall ran competitively in that race for several laps before
changing track conditions upset the handling of the car and he wound up with
a 20th-place finish.
That gives the crew more information to build on for the next round of
Knoxville Championship Cup Series action on Saturday, June 13, at Knoxville
Raceway.
The car is owned by Charles and Doris Hall. Crew members are Darrell
Bonesteel, Steve Lindell, Cass Page and Cole Page. Regular sponsors include
Maxim Racing, Parker Engines, APC Emmert Metal Fabricators, Marion Dairy
Queen, Seal-It International, Thompson Aero Service and Chalk Stix Torsion
Bars.
The team continues to actively seek funding for its 2009 efforts. New
sponsorship at all levels is welcome for the season, partial season or even
a one-race opportunity. Work will continue on new marketing ideas and
further development of the team’s newly revamped website at
www.johnhallracing.com this year. For more information on sponsorship
opportunities, contact Stacy Ervin, public-relations coordinator, at
