USMTS event at Allison falls to rain ALLISON, Iowa (Sept. 21) – The 6th Annual Hawkeye Summer Classic slated for Tuesday, Sept. 21, at the Highway 3 Raceway in Allison, Iowa, has been canceled due to rain. The event, which was already postponed once from a rain-out on Sept. 2, will not be rescheduled. The 2010 season will wrap up with the 12th Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Sept. 23-25, at the Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minn. An open practice from 6:30-9:30 p.m. will kick things on Wednesday night. Thursday’s main event will pay $3,000 to the winner, Friday’s victor will pocket $4,000 and the first driver to the checkered flag on Saturday will earn a $6,000 paycheck. The Featherlite Fall Jamboree is the undisputed marquee event for America’s “who's who” of dirt Modified racing as they converge on the Deer Creek Speedway near the tiny rural town of Spring Valley, Minn., for a possible $13,000 or more to win over three big days with a combined total purse of more than $200,000!
