Rain stops
USMTS action at Kasson; 10th Annual Stars & Stripes Shootout resumes Monday
at noon
KASSON, Minn. (May 29) – With qualifying for the USMTS Casey’s General
Stores National Tour powered by Swan Energy already in the books Sunday, the
rain that threatened all day finally arrived just before feature time and
rained out the main event action at the Dodge County Speedway in Kasson,
Minn.
Real Racing Wheels “B” Mains and the WIX Filters “A” Main will be run on
Monday, along with the main events for USRA Karl Performance Parts B-Mods,
Midwest Mods, Super Stocks and Street Stocks.
Tim Donlinger garnered the most passing points during the five heat races
for the 49 USMTS Modifieds on hand. Donlinger and the rest of the top 8
qualifiers – Ryan Gustin, Jon Tesch, Brandon Davis, Joel Alberts, Bob Timm,
Colt Mather and Jason Cummins – will redraw for their starting spots in the
first four rows of the main event while Zack VanderBeek, Josh Angst, Bobby
Swanson and Rodney Sanders will start 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th,
respectively.
The rest of the field will battle it out in the Real Racing Wheels “B” Mains
for the remaining 14 spots available in the feature.
Grandstand gates will open at 10 a.m. with the first “B” Main starting at 12
noon.
The Dodge County Speedway is located 1.1 mile north of US 14 on SR 57 (at

Later that same day, the series will head 35 miles south to the Chateau
Raceway in Lansing, Minn., for the 4th Annual Guttormson Memorial.
This race was originally scheduled for Friday but was rained out and
postponed to Monday. Gates open at 3 p.m. with hot laps at 5 and racing to
follow.
Also racing will be Midwest Mods, Pure Stocks and Hornets.
The Chateau Raceway is a 1/3-mile semi-banked clay oval located 5.0 miles
north of Austin on US 218 to the Lansing exit, then 1.3 miles eat on CR 2,
then 0.4 mile south on CR 25, then 0.3 mile east . For more info, call
