Fall Jamboree Golf Scramble
ROCHESTER, Minn. (Sept. 7) – The 13th Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree – the
undisputed marquee event for America’s most talented Modified drivers on
dirt – takes place at the Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minn.,
Wednesday through Saturday, Sept. 22-25.
While the racing is serious business, fun and games (and possibly some
serious cash) are in store for golfers again this year at the annual Fall
Jamboree Golf Scramble where participants will find themselves chasing
birdies at one of the most scenic golf courses in Southern Minnesota.
On top of that, they’ll be chasing the biggest prizes ever offered at the
annual event.
Located just minutes from the racetrack, the Maple Valley Golf & County Club
in Rochester will host this year’s Fall Jamboree Golf Scramble on Friday,
Sept. 23.
As in the past, the format for this year’s outing will be a four-person
best-ball contest with a Texas-style shotgun start, dozens of flag prizes
and post-tournament awards.
The cost is just $40 per person and includes 18 holes of golf and cart plus
a meal and flag prizes afterwards. Drivers, crewmembers, sponsors and fans
alike are invited to join in the fun.
Registration is going on now and will continue until 8:45 a.m. on Friday
morning or until all spots are filled. The tournament will begin at 9 a.m.
sharp.
A hole-in-one contest will be featured on each of the four par-3 holes. The
#3 hole will pay $10,000 if a golfer can “ace” that hole, with a new 26-inch
LCD flat screen TV, Callaway Big Bertha iron set and two round-trip airfare
tickets to anywhere in the continental United States being up for grabs on
the other three par-3 holes.
The cost to sign-up and be eligible for the par-3 bonus holes is optional
and just $5 per person.
At the conclusion of the golf tournament, one person’s name will be drawn
from the players that signed up for the hole-in-one contests. That person
will get the opportunity to sink a 60-foot putt for $5,000.
A shuttle bus will be available to take golfers to and from the racetrack,
leaving at 8 a.m. Friday morning and returning to the racetrack following
the golf outing. Riding the shuttle is free, but tips are appreciated.

The Maple Valley Golf & Country Club has been heralded as the most beautiful
golf course in Southeastern Minnesota. Surrounded on three sides by
limestone bluffs and the Root River, it gives the course a natural
difficulty.
Whether it is teeing off of the 50-foot drop to the green below on the third
hole, or being surrounded by water hazards on all sides of hole #15, Mother
Nature has done well, making your job both difficult and gorgeous.
