ANNOUNCES NEW CARBON FIBER DRIVE SHAFTS
Most popular sizes are being offered to Late Model racers
Des Moines, Iowa (Jan. 27, 2006) -- Fast Shafts, a producer of drive
shafts for all types of dirt track race cars, has announced the
inclusion of carbon fiber drive shafts to its product line.
In making the announcement, Pat Fagen, owner of the Des Moines,
Iowa-based company, noted that a variety of sizes will be available
for dirt Late Model racing.
"We will be carrying carbon fiber drive shaft lengths for all of the
most popular dirt Late Models," he said. "Our warehouse will be
stocking at least three sizes for Bert transmissions and three
additional sizes for the Brinn and Falcon styles."
Added Fagen: "When we sell the carbon fiber drive shafts, we will
install u-joints and slip yokes of the driver's preference,"
According to Fagen, Fast Shafts will be stocking 38", 38 1/2" and
39" carbon fiber lengths and 35", 35 1/2" and 36" lengths, as well
as a variety of other sizes.
In making the announcement, Fagen also noted that Fast Shafts has
recently become a repair facility for both Bert and Brinn
transmissions and will stock most of the important components for
both transmissions. In addition, the company is stocking Late Model
quick-change rear end yokes.
Fast Shafts, a division of Axle Exchange of Des Moines, has been
producing drive shafts for Late Model, Modified, Stock Car , Dirt
Truck and Hobby Stock race cars since 1992. In addition to the new
carbon fiber drive shafts, their product offering also includes
aluminum, steel and chromemoly light-weight shafts.
