WET GROUNDS FORCE POSTPONEMENT OF CORNING WDRL EVENT
Track and series officials working on potential reschedule date

Corning, Iowa (May 28, 2006) -- Wet conditions Saturday night forced the
postponement of the Dodge Dealers 50, a WORLD Dirt Racing League PolyDome Late
Model Series event scheduled here at Adams County Speedway.
After nearly seven-tenths of an inch of rain hit the area Friday night, another
band of showers moved through southwest Iowa around mid-morning Saturday,
leaving conditions unfavorable for staging the annual Memorial Day weekend
event.
According to WDRL founder and president Jim Wilson, Adams County Speedway
officials are considering some possible reschedule dates.
"This race has always been a very popular one and both the race track and the
WDRL want very much to find a reschedule date," he said. "It is unfortunate that
things worked out the way they did as it was obvious we would have had an
outstanding field of cars."
Added Wilson: "Adams County Speedway did everything possible to try to get the
show in, but with that much rain in the past 24 hours, it became obvious they
were facing an impossible task."
Wilson says an announcement on a reschedule date should be made within the next
few weeks.
