MASTERSBILT WINS WORLD DIRT RACING LEAGUE CHASSIS
BUILDERS CHAMPIONSHIP
Third consecutive series chassis builders title for Crothersville, Indiana,
company

GILMAN CITY, MO. (Oct. 23, 2006) - MasterSbilt Race Cars of Crothersville, Ind.,
has won the 2006 WORLD Dirt Racing League PolyDome Late Model Series Chassis
Builders Championship.
This year's Chassis Builders title is the third in a row for the southern
Indiana company owned by Keith and Tader Masters.
MasterSbilt finished with 83 series Chassis Builders points, eight better than
runner-up Rocket Chassis of Shinnston, W.V., in spite of Rocket's series-high 11
feature race triumphs. Swartz Xtreme Design Chassis of Minford, Ohio, finished
third with 54 Chassis Builders points, followed by GRT Race Cars of Greenbriar,
Ark., which finished with 32.
MasterSbilt finished with a total of eight PolyDome Late Model Series feature
race wins, headed up by Menomonie, Wisconsin's Jimmy Mars, who won series events
at Knoxville, Iowa; Superior, Wis.; and Alexandria, Minn. Other MasterSbilt
feature race wins went to Mound, Minnesota's Justin Fegers, Earl Pearson Jr. of
Jacksonville, Fla.; Solon Springs, Wisconsin's Brady Smith; Brian Harris of
Davenport, Iowa; and Chad Simpson of Mount Vernon, Iowa.
Muscatine, Iowa's Brian Birkhofer and Milledgeville, Ill., pilot Darren Miller
each scored four WDRL feature race wins for Mark Richards-owned Rocket Chassis.
Papillion, Nebraska's Steve Kosiski, Matt Furman of Iowa City, Iowa; and veteran
Winona, Minn., driver Lance Matthees picked up other 2006 Rocket feature race
wins.
The lone series win for Swartz Xtreme Design Chassis, owned by Audie Swartz, was
logged by two-time WDRL champion Kyle Berck. GRT Race Cars, owned by Joe
Garrison, failed to score a series feature race win.
As the 2006 WORLD Dirt Racing League Chassis Builders Champion, MasterSbilt Race
Cars will present a 2007 MasterSbilt Smackdown chassis to the MasterSbilt driver
who finished the highest in the final series point standings at this year's
PolyDome Late Model Series Champions Banquet, scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 4, at
Terrible's Casino in Osceola, Iowa. Series runner-up Brian Harris will receive
this year's Chassis Builders award.
