WORLD DIRT RACING LEAGUE NAMES RUSTY DAUFELDT SERIES
MARKETING DIRECTOR
Daufeldt also to handle series announcing duties
GILMAN CITY, MO (Dec 3) - WORLD Dirt Racing League president and co-founder
Jim Wilson announced today that Rusty Daufeldt of Blue Grass, Iowa, has been
named to the dual roles of marketing director and announcer, effective
immediately, for the Missouri-based, Midwest Late Model touring series.
Daufeldt is heavily involved in marketing in his other business pursuits and
brings this expertise to WDRL. Although marketing the series will be his
primary responsibility, Daufeldt will hold down the additional role of
series announcer, Wilson said. He is no stranger to dirt track racing, and
that should serve him well in his new capacities.
"Rusty is eager to get started, and we know his efforts will benefit
everyone affiliated with the WDRL," Wilson said. "We are really excited
about all that he brings to the series."
Wilson adds, "Rusty understands that our commitment to our sponsors is to be
an effective marketing tool for them. He has the personality and the skill
to work in tandem with their strategies and programs.
"Rusty also is very familiar with most of the premier Late Model drivers who
follow WDRL. This will help him keep fans fully and accurately informed
during our racing programs while he's announcing and afterwards as he writes
the racing report to be distributed to the motor sports media."
Those wishing to contact Rusty Daufeldt to offer congratulations on his
WORLD Dirt Racing League appointment or to discuss potential sponsorship
opportunities with WDRL can e-mail him at rusty@wdrl.net.
