WORLD DIRT RACING LEAGUE WILL NOT OFFER PRINTED SERIES
PROGRAMS IN 2009
Some tracks will issue their own programs for WDRL events
GILMAN, MO (May 4) - The WORLD Dirt Racing League will not be offering
printed series programs at race tracks that host WDRL races as has been the
case for the past seven years. That announcement was made today by WDRL's
president, Jim Wilson.
"We have just learned that the publisher's solicitation for advertising in
the program inadvertently has had an adverse affect on race tracks as well
as race teams," Wilson explained. "WDRL was not involved in this
solicitation of advertising, and we were unaware that this was happening. We
wish to apologize to our track promoters and race teams for any
inconvenience this may have caused them”
In the past, the WORLD Dirt Racing League furnished series programs to its
race tracks for the use of series promoters and as a source of information
for the fans. Wilson said, however, he has been informed some tracks will
issue their own programs for their World Dirt Racing League races in 2009.
Also, noted Wilson, much of the information contained in the programs is
available on the WDRL website, www.worldraceleague.com.
