BATTLE AT THE BARN VI PRE-ENTRIES REACH AN ALL TIME HIGH
Boone, IA (January 8th, 2014) – With the biggest indoor Coke syrup in the Midwest just weeks away, the early entries have reached an all time high. This winter time tradition is once again set for January 24th and 25th at the Jacobson Building located on the Iowa State Fairgrounds. With 26 different classes set to be in competition, there is always something to bring a smile to race fans in the cold of the Iowa winters. Over the past few years, the Outlaw Lawn Mowers have continued to grow and become a fan favorite. Along with the Lawn Mowers, fan will be thrilled with go-karts, Four Wheelers, Outlaw Three Wheelers, Outlaw Cage Carts, and Motorcycles. The 2013 version of this event saw a record 356 entries from 11 different states in competition.
The Friday night portion of the show will see a practice session running from 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. At the end of the night, there will be a special event for the 330 Clone division. This event will be a 15 lap sprint with the top 12 from practice times going after a $200 top prize. The Friday night race is presented by Three Wide Clothing, Assassin Tire Solutions, and Anderson Auto Body.
The Saturday show will see a practice session starting at 11:00 a.m., heat races rolling off at 1:30 p.m., and the feature events slated for 7:00 p.m. The feature events will start with the ever popular buddy race for pit bikes and the celebrity race with go-karts. Another welcome addition is the Jim’s Johns Challenge for 370 Clones. Both front row starters have the option of falling to the tail and if they can win they will receive $1,000 courtesy of Jim’s Johns. For the Saturday night features, all youth divisions will run 12 laps and the adults will see a 15 lap feature event.
