BATTLE AT THE BARN VII PRE-ENTRIES REACH AN ALL TIME HIGH
Des Moines, IA (January 13th, 2015) – With the biggest indoor Coke syrup in the Midwest just a little over week away, the early entries have reached an all time high. This winter time tradition is once again set for January 23rd and 24th at the Jacobson Building located on the Iowa State Fairgrounds. With 29 different classes set to be in competition, there is always something to bring a smile to race fans in the cold of the Iowa winters. Over the past few years, the Outlaw Lawn Mowers have continued to grow and become a fan favorite. Along with the Lawn Mowers, fan will be thrilled with go-karts, Four Wheelers, Outlaw Three Wheelers, Outlaw Cage Carts, and Motorcycles.
The 2014 version of this event saw a record 356 entries from 11 different states in competition. For race fans not able to attend, they can tune in to Speed Shift TV for live flag to flag coverage on each day. The great folks at Jim’s Johns will once again be putting up extra cash Saturday for the “Jim’s Johns Challenge”
The front row starters in the Stock Medium, KT100, and Quad A all have the option to fall to the tail and pick up an additional $500 with a win. Following are some quick Barn facts for 2015:
-Friday doors open at 10:00 a.m. with practice from 3:00 – 6:00
-Friday ALL CLASSES RUN ROUND NUMBER ONE HEAT RACES at 6:30
-Friday “Special Features” for the top 12 from heats in 370 Clones, KT100, Stock Medium, Pro Bikes, and Quad A. $200 to win each Feature event.
-Saturday doors open at 9:00 a.m. with practice from 11:00 – 1:00
-Saturday round two of heats go green at 1:30 followed by “B” Features
-Saturday Features for all classes set to roll at 5:30
