Cameron, Roberts, Stigall, Farmer and Asher stand tall at I-35 Speedway!

WINSTON, MO (June 2, 2012) – Gene Stigall took a wild ride early in the season putting the defending Stock Car track champion on his top, tonight though Stigall would find himself on top in victory lane. Stigall (Winston) held off a hard charging Dean Wray (Jamesport) and last weeks winner Thomas Roberts (Kidder) to pick up his first win in only his second week back in the IMCA Stock Cars. Wray would get by Roberts late to finish second, Roberts was third, Josh Steele continued his hot weekend finishing fourth and Jon Boller Jr. (St. Joseph) was fifth. Dean Wray went from ninth to second to win the hard charger.

After his third place finish in the Stock Car feature Thomas Roberts night wasn’t over as he won his second “Border War” Grand National feature of 2012. Roberts held off newcomer Eddie Ingram to pick up the win. Ingram (Kansas City, KS) would finish second, Austin Johnson (Kansas City) would get his first trophy with a good third place finish, Bud Wilson (Trenton) was fourth and Jim Peeler (Milan) was fifth. Ingram went from tenth to second to win the hard charger.

Truman Asher (St. Joseph) also continued his hot weekend picking up his second win of the season at I-35 in the IMCA SportMods. Asher had a good battle with last weeks winner Clint Baker (Meadville) and young Brady Sensenich (Chillicothe). Baker would finish second, Chad Clancy (Smithville) who pitted twice came through the field to finish third, Jeremy Pittsenbarger (Cameron) had a great run finishing fourth and Randy Ainsworth (Excelsior Springs) wound up fifth after pitting early. Dustin Miller went from eighteenth to sixth to win his second hard charger in a row.

Lee Farmer (Bethany) has four wins in four nights in two different cars this season, all in a row. Farmer won his second IMCA Hobby Stock feature in a row tonight at I-35. Andrew Hustead (Rutledge) came home second, Billie Hoover (Stewartsville) got his second third place finish in as many weeks, Mich Ross (Maysville) came home fourth and Anthony Fletchall (Grant City) was fifth. Farmer went from ninth to first to win the hard charger.

Last week no one was able to touch Jim Cameron (Cameron) in the IMCA Modified feature. Tonight was more of the same. Cameron flew to his second consecutive win on the season from his second row starting spot. Perry Milbourn (St. Joseph) just flew in from New York on two hours sleep finished second, Steven Glenn (Hamilton) was third, Jason Estes (Winston) was fourth and Cory Wray (Jamesport) was fifth. Just like his dad in the IMCA Stock Cars Cory Wray won the hard charger award.

Next week Outlaw Jim and the Whiskey Benders will be on hand and the racing and points blattles continue at I-35 Speedway!
