TIPTON, Iowa (June 7) – Two great IMCA series that go great together fill the midweek card at Cedar County Raceway.

Both the Deery Brothers Summer Series for IMCA Late Models and Karl Performance Hawkeye Dirt Tour presented by XSAN for IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds visit Tipton for a Tuesday, June 11 show.

The Deery feature pays $3,000 to win and a minimum of $300 to start. The Hawkeye Dirt Tour feature is a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying event, paying $1,000 to win and a minimum of $150 to take the green flag.

Brian Harris of Davenport has the point lead and a two race winning streak, so he’ll stay in the center of Deery Series attention. Runner-up Jeff Aikey of Cedar Falls, the seven-time and defending Deery champion, is 14 points off the pace.

Mark Schulte of Delhi is on top of the HDT standings, one point better than Richie Gustin of Gilman and two ahead of Newton’s Mike Van Genderen.

Pit gates open at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Tipton. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m.

Spectator admission is $16 for adults, $14 for seniors, $10 for students and free for kids 10 and under accompanying a paying adult. Pit passes are $30.
